Acting Chairman of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine «Ukrsugar» Yana Kavushevska reported about it in an interview for Latifundist.com.

«Of course, we understand that Ukrainian sugar will be in the EU. And we welcome the fact that the volume will be limited. Because our (Polish) sugar beet producers suffered a lot after joining the EU. And now they finally made at least some profit, got normal prices and started making money», — Yana Kavushevska quotes Polish sugar producers.

According to her, if Ukrainian sugar will be more predictable, exporters will not dump on the market and import sugar at prices they consider marketable, then "we can even talk about coordination of our efforts and cooperation".

«There were even proposals for possible cooperation through the terminal in Gdańsk», — Yana Kavushevska added.
