EIB will extend credit to «Astarta» for the energy program implementation
European Investment Bank (EIB) will allocate financing to one of the largest sugar producers of Ukraine — «Astarta-Kyiv» agro-industrial holding — on the energy efficiency program.
Ukrainian News reports about it according to the bank details.
EIB approved the project on September, 19. The project's objective is to support the modernization of existing production assets in order to minimize the use of energy and other natural resources.
It is expected that EIB will allow the company to improve its trade and export logistics through the construction of new sugar storage facilities.
The company will focus on increasing the efficiency of existing sugar refineries and its sugar storage capacities.
It is expected that EIB loan will also finance the development of the IT-solutions to improve a range of agricultural processes under the InnovFin scheme (EIB and European Commission initiative in the area of innovations).
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to allocate USD 25 million long-term loan to «Astarta».
