Dominican largest sugar mill produced more than 352 thousand tonnes of sugar
The Central Romana Corp. mill on Mon. announced a production of 352,116 tonnes of sugar, after milling over 3 million tonnes of cane in a harvest of around 180 days.

Central Romana, the largest producer in the country, also announced a production of more than 154,000 tonnes of refined sugarб with which it expects to meet the demand for the product in the national market.
It adds that it also produced 20,2 million gallons of molasses.
Central Romana’s entire production process, from the agricultural area to the manufacturing in the mill, is certified in terms of social responsibility and environmental sustainability under the Proterra standard, which guarantees a seal of quality in sugar and its derivatives for the final consumer.
