Cygnet sugar refinery started its work in new season
This year, Cygnet sugar refinery began sugar production season on September 16, the company's press service reports.
The first tonnes of product have already been produced from the new sugar beet harvest. The planned processing capacity this year is at least 2,700 tonnes per day. It is too early to talk about forecasts of the amount of processed raw materials. The beginning of the processing was preceded by a difficult work on the reconstruction and modernization of equipment. Preparation for the new sugar season was very tense due to significant volumes of work. Investments in modernization of equipment and overhaul exceeded 850 thousand dollars. Thanks to efficient planning and teamwork, all planned works were completed in time, and the refinery was launched in accordance with the plan.
The key objectives of modernization are increasing the capacity of daily processing of raw materials, reducing gas consumption and improving the quality of finished product. The staff of the refinery pays attention to reducing losses in the adoption of raw materials and co-production, improving the quality of the final product.
Recall that in 2017/2018 MY, the company processed 232,5 thousand tonnes of beet and produced more than 33 thousand tonnes of sugar.
