Cygnet Sugar Refinery completed production season
In the beginning of December, Cygnet Sugar Refinery completed sugar production season. This year the refinery processed 206 thousand tonnes of sugar beet.

The processing capacity was increased to 2,8 thousand tonnes of beet per day due to modernization of the equipment, as well as natural gas consumption was reduced by 10%. In 2018, the cost of gas for processing of 1 t of beet was 28 m3.
During the current season, the refinery produced 28,700 tonnes of sugar. Sugary recovery was 13,9%.
As for the strategy for sugar development for the next season, it is planned to continue investing in modernization of the equipment of the refinery. Modernization has two goals: further increasing the productivity of processing and improving the quality of finished products.
