Brazil's sugar production surged by 1% — UNICA
As per the data from industry group UNICA released on Friday, sugar production in Brazil’s centre-south region surged by 0.97% in the first half of May compared to the same period last year.

UNICA reported that mills in the region produced 2.57 million tonnes of sugar in the said period.
For the 2024-25 season through mid-May, sugar production rose 25.75% to 5.135 million tonnes.
Data from UNICA showed that Brazil’s CS sugarcane crushing totaled 44.75 million tonnes in the first half of May, up 0.43% from a year ago.
