«Astarta» Invests USD14.6m in the Construction of a Modern Sugar Storage Silo
«Astarta» continues to invest in the modernisation and development of production infrastructure.

In particular, in 2022 «Astarta» starts implementing a project to build Ukraine's largest bulk sugar storage facility with a total capacity of 60kt at the Narkevytsky Sugar Plant. The planned investment is c. USD14.6m.
Unique for Ukraine, technological solutions under the project will create optimal conditions for long-term storage of sugar and preservation of its original quality. In particular, German-designed plate of the silo will significantly reduce sugar residues after unloading the tank.
The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for July 2023.

Such a warehouse will also allow optimising logistics costs, maintaining the high quality of the Company's products and selling it in alternative packaging», — said Vyacheslav Uzhva, the Director of «Astarta»'s Sugar Production Department.
In 2021, «Astarta» produced 340kt of sugar from sugar beet and imported raw cane sugar. The Company's sugar plants are located in the Poltava, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions (Ukraine).
