«Astarta» increased sugar sales by 3%
«Astarta-Kyiv» agrs-industrial holding, the biggest sugar producer in Ukraine, in January-September, increased sugar sales by 3%, compared to the same period in 2019, — to 247,32 thousand tonnes.
It is reported by the company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In the third quarter of 2020, «Astarta»'s sugar sales increased by 11%, compared to the same period last year, — to 95,77 thousand tonnes.
«Astarta» is a vertically integrated agri-industrial holding operating in Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsk, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions. The holding includes eight sugar factories, farms with a land bank of about 250 thousand hectares and dairy farms. In 2014, the holding put into operation a soybean processing plant and biogas complex in Poltava region.
In 2019, «Astarta» received EUR1,69 million net profit against EUR18,26 million net loss in 2018. Its revenue increased by 20,4% — to EUR448,01 million.
