«A'SPIK GROUP» harvested 16% of sugar beet crop
«A'SPIK GROUP» agricultural units have already harvested sugar beet from 350 hectares — 16% of beet crops in the company's land bank.
It is reported by the company on its Facebook-page.
Currently, the average beet yield exceeds the national level by more than 12%. In particular, in «A'SPIK GROUP» more than 500 centners of sugar beet are harvested from one hectare, at the same time, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that in the country the average beet yield amounts 445 centners/ha.
«Due to this year's weather conditions, we cannot hope for last year's level of sugar beet yield, which reached more than 650 centners/ha, but 500 centners/ha and good condition of the beet roots make it possible to count on an acceptable crop», — comments the situation the head of «A'SPIK GROUP» agricultural direction Anatoliy Salashynsky.
He says, after drought, the weather is favorable for sweet harvesting, as the rains have dampened the soil, making it much easier to carry field work.
The company informs that at «Starokostiantynivcukor» LLC the first data indicate that sugar content corresponds to the last year's level.
Recall that «A'SPIK GROUP» plans to harvest sugar beets from the area of more than 2 thousand hectares. In particular, Starokostiantyniv farmers sowed almost 1300 hectares of sugar beets. In addition, another 865 hectares were sown in Rivne region. Thanks to its own raw material base «Starokostiantynivcukor» LLC, which is a part of the group of companies, began sugar-refining season last week.
