Argentina harvested almost 14 million tonnes of sugarcane
As of the end of September, 13,59 million tonnes of sugarcane were harvested in Argentina.
It is reported by the government portal.
With the sugarcane season drawing to a close in Tucuman, seven mills have shut operations while the remaining eight are preparing to stop by end-October. The output of sugar products was 1,2 million tonnes, out of which 985,300 tonnes was sugar and the remaining — non-molasses alcohol, according to the Institute for the Promotion of Sugar and Alcohol.
