Tomashpil Sugar Refinery was founded in 1856 by the Kuperman Brothers. It is one of the oldest refineries in sugar industry of Ukraine. During the whole history of its existence, the refinery never stopped.

The stone workshops were built in 1878 and became a part of the famous Brodsky sugar empire. At that time, the refinery processed 300 tonnes of raw materials per day. Since then, the plant was several times being rebuilt and re-equipped. In 2014, the refinery processed a record sugar beet volume in its history, producing 42,301 tonnes of sugar. The average daily processing capacity reached 2 524 tonnes.

The company continues its development and opens new markets — in 2012, sugar produced at the refinery was successfully exported to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Moldova.

The main finished products: crystal sugar of I-II-III categories, sucrose for champagne production, as well as by-products, such as molasses, pulp and lime.
