Address of production capacities: 31000, Khmelnytsk region, Krasyliv district, Krasyliv, Tsentralna str., 4A.
In 1837, the energetic and enterprising Kostiantyn Chorba began construction of the largest enterprise in Krasyliv — sugar refinery — near the revir «Sluch». The sugar refinery released the first product in five years — in 1842. Thus, 1842 marked the beginning of the enterprise activity, which for many decades had been identifying the economic entity of the present Krasyliv district.
In July 2020, «Krasyliv Sugar Refinery» PC officially joined the “sweet” family of «A’SPIK Group», connecting with «Starokostiantynivcukor» LLC and «Shepetivka Sugar» LLC.
Thus, the production complex became the third and the oldest sugar refinery in the group of companies.
In order to prepare the refinery, which has been operating without interruptions for more than 170 years, the company began a deep modernization of production facilities and renovation of premises for effective work in modern conditions.
In particular, the agro-industrial complex will move from double-product scheme to three-product scheme. «A’SPIK Group» expects that technological improvements will increase efficiency of “sweet” roots processing and quality of “white gold”.
«Working on the new scheme will ensure better sugar extraction from beets. Moreover, in the future we will be able to produce a "sweet" product not only of the third category, but also of the first and second categories to meet the needs of the most exacting consumers», — said Natalia Bogutska, the Deputy Director of «Krasyliv Sugar Refinery».
To implement these plans, contracts have already been concluded for the purchase of imported vacuum devices of the first product. Krasyliv Sugar Refinery will soon replenish its material and technical base with European-made equipment. In particular, 2 vacuum devices have been purchased and will be installed in the near future, which will be the basis for the implementation of the 3-rd product scheme for sugar production.
Earlier the refinery used a simplified method of sugar beet processing, which involved 2 phases of sugar extraction and, therefore, feed molasses contained a significant amount of sweet residues.
Thanks to the purchased modern vacuum devices it will be possible to increase the degree of sugar extraction from the syrup. The circulators provided by their design will forcibly mix a thick liquid. Green and white molasses, formed by centrifuges grouting, will be re-treated twice, which will avoid losses.
The equipment coming from Europe passed the initial working test at sugar factory in Oradea (Romania) and showed excellent results. After delivery to Krasyliv and full-fledged installation works, it will become a part of the white gold production line of the region.
Such reconstruction became possible thanks to the cohesive processes of the sugar industry in Khmelnytsk region. Three sugar factories of «A’SPIK Group», united in a network, enrich each other with the gained experience and secrets of efficiency.
Starokostiantyniv Sugar Refinery is the undisputed leader in the implementation of technologies, which uses the latest models of equipment and methods of sugar production. Over the past three years, Shepetivka Sugar Refinery has been following it, as it has undergone significant changes for the better since joining the «A’SPIK Group» family.
Krasyliv Sugar Refinery, which was involved in the Group of Companies this year, has also started updating its material and technical base. And although 2020 sugar beet processing season will pass the company, this period will be rationally used to introduce innovations.
«A’SPIK Group» plans to prepare the refinery with its 178-year history for efficient operation in the conditions of tough competition within a year. Therefore, the modernized enterprise will resume sugar production in 2021/2022 MY.
