Previously known as Illinetsky Order of the Red Banner of Labour sugar refinery named after Kirov is an enterprise of Ukrainian sugar industry, located in Illintsy, in Vinnytsia region.

The sugar refinery was built in autumn 1875. The enterprise was equipped with the most advanced equipment that existed in sugar industry at those times, and allowed to process 3,2 thousand centners of sugar beet per day.

In 1899, the plant burned down in a fire, and almost all the property was destroyed. The sugar refining season was interrupted and not completed. And the refinery had to be completely rebuilt.

In 1903, there were 9 steam boilers, gas and air machines of 75 k/s, one water and three feeding pumps with a total capacity of 28 k/s, a perfect steam pump, a high-speed steam engine in operation at the refinery. As a result, the technological process was significantly improved.

In 1915, the plant was purchased by Manov — the landowner and sugar produces, Bulgarian, who owned the sugar refinery until the October Revolution. In 1901-1903, the modernization and reconstruction of Illinetsky sugar refinery were carried out. It was a significant industrial enterprise at that time. Under Soviet rule, the refinery was significantly rebuilt and reequiped. The current industrial capacities were put into the operation in 1976 — the latest large-scale reconstruction of the enterprise.

In the second half of the 1990’s, the company was on the verge of destruction due to the crisis, but despite the small amount of processing, the company did not idle. In 2003, the refinery become bankrupt and the entrepreneurs, the former specialists in sugar industry Kuchynsky, Bilyk and Pankov — the founders and owners of «GarantInvest» LLC — became its new owners.

Since then, the sugar beet processing and sugar production volumes have been increasing year by year. In 2014, the latest large-scale modernization and expansion of the enterprise were carried out with the purpose of energy efficiency, production facilities, plant administration building and warehouse were reconstructed. In 2017, reconstruction of the CHP plant started with the replacement of two boilers by more powerful ones.

Implementation of the project involves the introduction of advanced modern technologies in order to increase the capacity of the refinery: production of more than 40 thousand tonnes of sugar per season, reduction of raw materials storage losses.

In 1972, Illinetsky Sugar Refinery was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. It has the status of an industrial monument, as it was built at the turn of XX-th century.
