Yaresky Sugar Refinery was put into operation on December 10, 1966 as a state-owned enterprise. At the time of its establishment, the processong capacity was 2500 tonnes of sugar beet per day. Due to its modernization, the daily processing capacity today reaches about 4300 tonnes of beet. In 2000, Yaresky Sugar Refinery became a member of «Astarta-Kyiv» Agri-Industrial Holding, and in 2009 it became a production division of «Dovzhenko Agrofirm» LLC. 

Over 46 years of its activity, 12 million 383 thousand tonnes of sugar beet were processed, 1 million 561 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced, 550 thousand tonnes of raw sugar (from sugar cane) were processed, from which 527 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced. The accompanying products are beet pulp and molasses. The refinery has its own raw material base, which allows to lower costs of sugar production. 

In 2013, Yaresky Sugar Refinery was certified according to ISO14001 international environmental standard, and in 2014 — FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification.
