One of Ukraine’s largest sugar plants to be modernized in Volyn region

Radekhiv Sugar Company will begin modernization of its Gnidava facility in Volyn region. The main goal of the project is to reduce emissions of pollutants into the air, upgrade purification systems, and improve the environmental safety of production processes. This is indicated by the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

The company plans to carry out a range of technical improvements aimed at making production more modern, efficient, and environmentally safer.

In particular, the project includes:

  • modernization of water and juice sulfitation units;
  • installation of a new aspiration system in the pulp drying department;
  • upgrading infrastructure for the storage and use of fuels and lubricants;
  • replacement of shut-off valves and pipelines;
  • installation of a modern dust collection system;
  • installation of new technological equipment.

After the modernization is completed, the facility is expected to significantly reduce uncontrolled emissions, while air purification systems will operate more efficiently. In addition, the company plans to improve working conditions for employees and enhance the level of industrial safety at the plant.

At the same time, the company emphasizes that the modernization project does not involve expanding production capacity or relocating the main technological lines. The project is focused specifically on upgrading existing equipment and engineering systems.
