British Sugar concluded its 2025/26 campaign. Four sugar factories of the company processed more than 7 million tonnes of beets and produced around 1 million tonnes of sugar.
In the previous campaign of 2024/2025 MY, the company processed 7.7 million tonnes of sugar beets and produced 1.1 million tonnes of sugar.
Newark factory became the last site to close its gates earlier this week. According to British Sugar, in 2025/2026 MY, sugar beet yield exceeded five-year average level.
The 2026 sowing campaign will begin at the end of this month at all sugar beet-growing farms in the UK.
